Monte Ward, Providnece (NL), June 17, 1880. Providence defeated Buffalo (NL) 5-0.

Cy Young, Boston Red Sox (AL), May 5, 1904. Boston defeated Philadelphia Athletics 1-0. Hall of Fame Member.

Addie Joss, Cleveland Indians (AL), October 2, 1908. Cleveland defeated the Chicago White Sox 1-0. Joss out pitched Chicago's 40-game winner Ed Walsh. Hall of Fame Member.

Charlie Robertson, Chicago White Sox (AL), April 30, 1922. Chicago defeated the Detroit Tigers 2-0.

Don Larsen, New York Yankees (AL), October 8, 1956. New York defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers 2-0, at Yankees Stadium in game 6 of the 1956 World Series. Larsen finished the game by getting Dodger pinch hitter, Dale Mitchell to look at a called third strike on a 3-2 count. It's the first and only perfect game pitched in World Series history.

Jim Bunning, Philadelphia Phillies (NL), June 21, 1964. Philadelphia defeated the New York Mets 6-0. Hall of Fame Member.

Sandy Koufax, Los Angeles Dodgers (NL), September 9, 1965. Los Angeles defeats the Chicago Cubs 1-0 in Los Angeles before a crowd of 29,139. Koufax struck out 14 Cubs including the final six batters he faced. His final out was Cubs pinch-hitter Harvey Kuenn, a former AL batting champion who went down swinging on three pitches. Koufax improved his season record to 22-7. The only hit off Cubs pitcher Bob Hendley, and the only hit of the game was Lou Johnson bloop double to right field with two out in the seventh inning. The Dodgers scored in the fifth inning without a hit. Johnson walked to open the inning, was sacrificed to second, stole third, and raced home on catcher Chris Krug wild throw to third. Koufax also became the first pitcher in basball history to pitch four no-hitters, surpassing Bob Feller, Cy Young and Larry Corcoran. Koufax threw no-hitters in three consecutive years (62-64).

Mike Witt, California Angels (AL), September 30, 1984. California defeats the Texas Rangers 1-0.

Tom Browning, Cincinnati Reds(NL), September 16, 1988. Cincinnati defeats the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0.

Dennis Martinez, Montreal Expos (NL), July 28, 1991. Montreal defeats the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-0.

Kenny Rogers, Texas Rangers (AL), July 28, 1994. Texas defeats the California Angels 4-0.

David Wells, New York Yankees (AL), May 17, 1998. New York defeats the Minnesota Twins 4-0.

David Cone, New York Yankees (AL), July 18, 1999. New York defeats the Toronto Blue Jays 6-0. With Don Larson in attendence and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch on "Yogi Berra Day" at Yankee Stadium, David Cone becomes the 15th pitcher in major league history to pitch a perfect game during the regular seasson.
